| Description: | This application builds upon Edwina fitzPatrick’s 2018 ACE funded Archive of the Trees commission with Fermynwoods Contemporary Art. The participatory residency fused scientific data with anecdotal narratives to visualise the complexities of climate change, biodiversity and land use. The ‘book’ – or more accurately, a 40-page colour hand-held provocation – extends this by innovating with text, imagery, design and use of recycled paper. It visually charts the growth of a tree, questions the source of the paper in our hands, and invites us to consider the longevity of materials around us. |
