| Description: | During 2017/18, UAL commissioned Dr Lara Salinas from LCC to undertake research into 'Understanding the Value of Knowledge Exchange'. This research involved engaging with academic staff from across UAL, in order to understand perceptions of value relating to KE activity, and included commissioning the production of a number of KE case studies. Producing Future Homes and Communities one of six projects funded by Knowledge Exchange at UAL to be developed into a case study. Producing Future Homes and Communities was a week-long residency at Tate Exchange that attracted more than 2,500 visitors and explored the infrastructures and architectures of tomorrow. Students from BA and MA Interior and Spatial Design at Chelsea College of Arts worked with UAL staff, alumni and members of the public to realise an experimental model of London in 2068. The public programme of events included Future Archiving and a Community Market that explored utopia, dystopias and heterotopias. |
