The Black Artists & Modernism 'Black Artists in UK Public Collections' Database

Dalal-Clayton, Anjalie (2018) The Black Artists & Modernism 'Black Artists in UK Public Collections' Database.

Type of Research: Other
Creators: Dalal-Clayton, Anjalie

An online database containing searchable details of over 2000 artworks by British-based artists with African or Asian heritage in UK public art collections.

Amongst the many strands of research taking place within the Black Artists & Modernism project is our audit of artworks by black artists in public collections, led by Dr Anjalie Dalal-Clayton. The audit seeks to determine in which publicly-funded collections one can find artworks by artists of African, Caribbean, Asian and MENA Region descent who were born in, lived, worked or studied in the UK.
