A presentation of the book Seth Siegelaub: "Better Read Than Dead" Writings and Interviews 1964–2013 by co-editor Dr Jo Melvin plus a display of related materials. Melvin discusses the research processes of the book and parallels this by a performance which animates Siegelaub's strategic thinking.

The book mirrors the form of exhibition as publication, a new way of thinking about exhibition publications that Siegelaub was instrumental in pioneering between 1966 - 1971. Siegelaub's innovative approach to cataloguing bibliographic information and amassing collections continues throughout his life, the central component was always visual. Melvin's performance grapples with the relationship between information, materiality, ephemera and oral histories.
