| Description: | This paper describes a partnership approach to evaluation, working with students to develop an evaluation framework and set of inclusive data collection tools to capture student voices. Evaluation is key to embedding strategies for continuous improvement, testing teaching and learning approaches and determining future pedagogies. Developing a shared language around evaluation with students makes the process more meaningful for them, while supporting staff to gather evidence that is representative. It leads to more staff/student conversations. This project involved 2 workshops with students co-creating a framework and tools; as an art, design and communication university we focused on developing robust creative approaches. This has been used in practice, set up on a guidance blog and used widely across the Media School with direct impact on students. With students as co-creators on the educational journey, evaluation is not a passive space for them but a place to mould and develop educational futures. |
