The Technical Apparatus of KBW

Finch gave a talk titled ‘The Technical Apparatus of KBW’ (Kulturwissenschaftliche Bibliothek Warburg).

This colloquium event was held at the KBW Warburg Haus in Hamburg, co-organised by Finch with Martin Westwood. Finch was also the chair for the 'Inscription' theme on the 29th June.

'The Warburg Haus: Apparatus, Inscription, Data, Speculation' was a colloquium event held on the 29 and 30 June at the KBW Warburg Haus in Hamburg that is a section of the University of Hamburg. A working group comprised of 19 papers from The Warburg institute's Bilderfahrzeuge research project, the Warburg Haus Hamburg, l'Institute de Recherche et Inovation, Paris, Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, and contributors from other institutions. The event was organised by Mick Finch and Martin Westwood (and who also gave papers) and the proceedings will be published in a future edition of the Journal of the Philosophy of Photography. The event focused upon questions and problematics raised by the work of Aby Warburg and was organised into 4 sessions: Speculation, Data, Inscription and Apparatus.
